DFP Recruitment is urgently seeking   an experienced  Project Manager to join a large Federal Government Department.
This department provides various educational opportunities and rehabilitation services, along with compensation payments for veterans. Additionally, it provides financial support for a variety of services healthcare, aged care and medical centers.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Definition and management of project deliverables, schedule, benefits, financials, risks, issues and dependencies, including liaison with relevant suppliers, in alignment with the Departments Project Management Framework.
  • Delivery of project outcomes within schedule, financial and quality parameters, contributing to the overarching program outcomes and objectives.
  • Leading and managing the project team including reviewing and the work of other project team members and suppliers and otherwise ensuring that appropriate standards are applied to the project’s outputs.
  • Managing business change and implementation activities including user acceptance and business verification testing, change, training and communications activities and rollout planning and execution.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to management expectations and dependencies to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Preparing regular project status reports and presenting status reports to the project board and other executive stakeholders.
  • Complete other tasks as required by the Director of the Legislative Reform Program.
 
Skills Required
  • Strong experience in Project management within a government Agency.
  • Be experienced in working on projects involving Legislative change.
  • Have extensive experience of working in a Shared Services environment.
