Job description

Our state government client is seeking experienced Electrical Project Manager(s) for an initial 6-month contract with possible extension based in their Jandakot office.  
 
Rate: Candidates submitted at the rate of their choosing 
Location: Jandakot, WA 
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week 
Duration: 6 months with possible extension 
Type: Temporary casual contract 
 
ROLE DESCRIPTION / FUNCTION 
FUNCTION: Project Management (Electrical)  
- Project manages the delivery of electrical capital works to client requirements across the State 
- Review Project Charters, prepare Briefs and arrange Designs to ensure constructability and compliance with corporate standards 
- Manage assigned projects on site and report on the delivery and ensure they are completed to approved scope, budget, time and quality 
- Collaborate with other staff, both Main Roads and other stakeholders on the development and delivery of projects 
- Report on project progress, current and forecast expenditure  
 
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, OR EXPERIENCE  
ESSENTIAL:   
- A minimum of Certificate in Electrical Trade with preference for degree in related technical discipline or a recognise equivalent 
- Skills in Project management 
- Experience in financial management and reporting within agreed allocations 
- Knowledge of policies and practices on Occupational Safety and Health, in particular regards to electrical safety, and on EEO, diversity and equity  
DESIRABLE:  
- A degree or diploma in electrical or electronic engineering or related technical discipline including a trade certificate   
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS 
- Full working rights within Australia 
- Able to obtain a current National Police Clearance (dated within 6 months) 
- Current Driver’s Licence (Class C) 
- White card

Must be available for face-to-face interview at Jandakot depot on either dates/times: 
Wednesday 7th Feb (10am or 11am) or Thursday 8th Feb (9am or 10am)
