Job description

Our state government client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for their Energy Demand Initiatives team.

Rate: Candidates submitted at their preferred rate based on previous experience and suitability for the role

Location: Perth CBD
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Duration: 3 months with possible 3 month extension
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Project Manager

The role is responsible for the project management of medium to high risk and medium to high-value complex, multidisciplinary energy demand management projects and programs of work within the Energy Demand Initiatives team.

The role has the following key areas of focus:
• Development and implementation of project and risk management tools, frameworks and documentation including high quality business cases, project implementation plans, status reports, control registers and continuity plans to ensure the effective delivery of project outputs.
• Coordinating, managing, monitoring and reporting on projects and programs of work including development and presentation of accurate project and financial reports to working parties, steering committees and other relevant stakeholders.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the planning and delivery of quality projects including application of effective engagement methods to support consultation and negotiation.
• Innovation and problem solving to facilitate the delivery of projects within defined timeframes and budgets.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, OR EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrated skills and experience in project management of large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects using best practice methodology to deliver outputs and outcomes within defined timeframes and budget.
• Possession of an appropriate Project Management qualification (Foundation level MSP, PRINCE2 or PMP, RegPM)
• Ability to develop detailed project management plans, frameworks, and documents to support effective project delivery.
• Highly developed research, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage detailed project plans and deliver project objectives within agreed timeframes.
• Demonstrated communication skills including negotiation skills, the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels to achieve quality outcomes.
• Dynamic, self-aware and self-motivated individual that achieves results.
• Effective communicator, that can build productive relationships with project stakeholders to achieve project outcome

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Full working rights within Australia
• Current National Police Clearance (dated within last 3 months, or able to obtain one if successful)
• Drug and Alcohol Screening
