Immediate start
12 Months Contract - with possible extension 
Location – ACT, NSW, QLD
Must be Australian citizen.
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking a Project Officer for our government Client. Our Federal Government Client is responsible for national digital health services and systems, with a focus on engagement, innovation, clinical quality, and safety.

The Project Officer will coordinate and assist in a range of moderately complex to complex project support activities, program and project management, with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability.

 Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the coordination of actions and projects outlined in the Interoperability Plan's priority areas and other digital health projects.
  • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders at a high level, both internal and externa, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure the smooth delivery of project milestones.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans, discussion papers and initiatives related to digital health and interoperability.
  • Assist with preparation of progress reports and updates to the Director Interoperability, and other key stakeholders as required.
  • Assist with the management of procurement, contracts, and finance requirements.
 
Key Skills
 
  • Highly organised with sound knowledge of digital health and digital transformation projects. 
  • Flexibility to work on multiple projects and priorities, and the ability to pivot between different projects and activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting digital health projects, creating and managing integrated project schedules that align dependencies and deliverables, track progress, and minimise project risk.
  • High-level stakeholder engagement skills and be able to understand, negotiate and resolve complex, difficult, and/or sensitive issues.
  • Assist with the management of procurement, contracts, and finance requirements.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, assist in the preparation of ministerial briefs, agendas, papers, and reports.
 
 
Required skills and qualifications:                               

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Officer with large organisations
  • Adept with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with numerous stakeholders via several means, e.g. workshop facilitation.
  • Knowledge of health or digital health projects
  • Project management qualification or relevant work experience desirable
