Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional customer service, responding to enquiries related to research ethics and governance in a timely and effective manner.
- Support the review, set-up, and maintenance of research ethics and governance applications, including Low/Negligible Risk (LNR) submissions.
- Monitor approved studies and process amendments, liaising with researchers and relevant committees as required.
- Assist with preparation and collation of reports, documents, and meeting materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, continuous quality improvement, and the efficient administration of the Research Office.
- Undertake additional administrative tasks and minor projects as required.

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for researchers and stakeholders.
- Meeting tight deadlines while managing a range of administrative tasks.
- Using initiative and professional judgement when liaising with multiple stakeholders and addressing discrepancies.
- Supporting process improvements and contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in a research and/or ethics office is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and other office systems.
- Experience in administrative support, data management, and maintaining accurate records.
- Understanding of quality improvement principles.
- Knowledge of Human Research Ethics & Governance is highly desirable.
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., health sciences).
- Experience working in a health environment.
- Knowledge of National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) guidelines and research governance frameworks.
