A Federal Government Agency is seeking an experienced APS5 Program Coordinator to join a division undertaking major ICT programs to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions that improve national services.
 
The APS5 Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting program delivery teams responsible for technology-enabled business services. Operating under limited direction, this role involves moderately complex program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and governance support.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of program strategies
  • Provide project management, administrative support, and coordination at a senior level
  • Develop and maintain reports, analyses, and program registers (risks, issues, dependencies)
  • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and value proposition
  • Facilitate team meetings and manage the team Kanban board
  • Act as a key communication link between team members and stakeholders
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders
  • Safeguard program processes and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to the team
Essential Criteria:
  • 4–6 years’ experience in a similar program coordination or project support role
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in program/project management
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience working in projects, PMO, or business administration environments
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence
  • Willingness to upskill and adapt to new tools and ways of working
  • Enthusiasm for accessibility and inclusive design principles
