Job Title: Safety, Health and Wellbeing Advisor
Employer: DFP Recruitment client
Position Type: 6 month Casual Temporary Contract
Pay Rate: Competitive
Location: East Perth, WA 6004
Role Overview:  You ensure compliance with the clients safety policies, analyze SHW trends, and provide recommendations. You conduct investigations, audits, and risk workshops, manage SHW reporting, mentor staff, and contribute to safety meetings.

Key Responsibilities;
 
  • Fulfil duties as a safety, health and wellbeing business partner, providing specialist support and ensuring implementation of corporate policies and procedures in line with the Main Roads safety management system
  • Analyse trends and identify SHW risks as well as provide insights, reports, and deliver dependable recommendations to the business and the corporate SHW team
  • Perform investigations, internal audits and participate in risk workshops for construction as well as at Directorate and corporate levels
  • Manage activities for assigned areas in the SHW electronic reporting system
  • Provide support, coaching and mentoring to managers, workers, and safety personnel in assigned areas
  • Attend and contribute to committee meetings and other briefings
  
Essential to be successful in this role;
  • Experience in implementing safety, health and wellbeing policies and procedures in line with the corporate safety management system in an organisation with both white and blue collar workforces
  • Formal training and experience in auditing and ICAM incident investigations
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office suite and an online based corporate safety management system
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety or other relevant discipline
  • Current valid NPC or ability to
