Job description

DFP Recruitment Perth is seeking a solutions architect (IT) for our client to work with Western Australia's largest and busiest general cargo port located in Fremantle.
This is a permanent opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. 

Key Duties
  • Lead role in designing and integrating a diverse set of solutions, including applications, infrastructure, processes, data and information.
  • Responsible for leading the development of solution architectures for both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) environments across the business.
  • Assist with the architectural direction for the IT Branch Strategic Plans.
  • Provides advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security) are applied correctly.
  • Create architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects and systems (within the current VM and Cloud environments) using best practice integration principles and patterns.

The client is seeking the following to be suitable:
Qualifications:
  • Possession of an information technology related qualification or extensive recent technology experience.
  • Demonstrated experience within a Solution Architecture role.
  • Considerable experience within applications development.
 
Technical Skills / Experience:
  • Proven success in architecture and application technology across a range of technologies including but not limited to: .Net, Cloud, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, integration and networking, infrastructure services and OT.
  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps)
  • Knowledge in data architecture, preferably finance data models and architecture.
  • Experience of implementing new solutions within complex environments with back up capabilities
  • Preferred Knowledge of various database technologies, such as Oracle and MSSQL.
  • Preferred Knowledge of various frontend web development languages like JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in Integration principles and patterns.
  • Proven understanding of business goals, objective and business outcomes, business capabilities (current and future state), value-streams, and business processes.
  • Be able to successfully drive business and technology change.
 
Other requirements:
  • TOGAF certification is highly desirable.
  • Project Management certification is desirable.
  • Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
