About the Organisation
Our client is a leading technology company is undergoing a significant Digital Transformation. To support the large program of work they are modernising and transforming services in line with the Digital transformation strategy. 

The Opportunity
As a System Engineer you shall capture system requirements that will be used by delivery teams to build out the VDS solution.The Systems Engineer role is based in Canberra and assignment is untill 30th June 2023 with 12 months further extension.

Duties includes:

  • Regularly perform a health check of the application/servers.
  • Translate the business objectives and translating it to clear design requirements.
  • Provide input into requirement based on using approved cloud technologies.
  • Assuring the design of systems and networks has the right functionality fit.
  • Create feature and user stories that can be used by delivery teams to build the solution.
  • Ensure system design meets the relevant functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end system design meets requirements that covers performance and interoperability, with scalability, flexibility and future-proofing capabilities to cater for additional data sets and volumes.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as system or business analyst working in complex and large projects
  • Experience with production of technical artefacts that can be broken down into smaller deliverable user stories for build teams to consume.
  • Experience in working across multiple teams, agile team environmnet delivering complext IT projects. 
  • High Level of communication and interpersonal skills and ability to understand technical issues and clearly articulate solutions to clients.
  • Ability to analyse problems and quickly identify solutions.
  • Experience in technical requirement artefacts using agile documentation standards (Epics, Features and User Stories)
  • Formal qualifications in ICT or relevant industry certification.
  • Certification in Azure cloud or similar cloud certification will be advantageous
  • Experience in big data projects data technologies will be extremely advantageous.
Remuneration will be based on experience.To be considered in this role, you will need to hold a current Baseline security clereance or above to be successful.
