Job description

DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Technical ICT Infrastructure Project Manager to engage on a temporary contract on a full time basis with a State Government agency based in Perth CBD.  

Position Title: Technical ICT Infrastructure Project Manager.

Start Date: Immediate 

Length of Assignment: 6 months with an extension of 6 months

Required Start Date: Immediate  

Location: Perth CBD. 

Pay Rate: Open to Market  
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Manage and deliver multiple interdependent systems within agreed scope, timeframes, budget, and quality expectations. 
  • Perform standard Project Management tasks, including technical planning and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Prepare and maintain Project Initiation Documents (PIDs) with schedules, budgets, and scope. 
  • Maintain risk/issue logs with planned mitigations and conduct monthly reviews. 
  • Provide monthly project status reports and progress updates. 
  • Prepare and maintain project cash flows and financial reports. 
  • Ensure resource plans are in place for the entire project duration. 
  • Utilize change controls to manage deviations from approved baselines. 
  • Complete project closure reports upon completion of each project. 
Required Skills and Experience: 
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management Services implementation. 
  • Proficiency in project development methodologies and standards (PRINCE2/Agile). 
  • Knowledge of ICT systems, applications, and best practices. 
  • Experience with network infrastructure, server management, cloud services, and cybersecurity. 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for engaging with stakeholders across multiple business areas.

  • Successful delivery of assigned work packages within time, quality, budget, and scope. 
  • Achieve agreed business outcomes. 
  • Comply with governance framework and project management standards. 
  • Monthly project status reporting and weekly timesheet submissions. 
  • Attendance at quarterly business engagement meetings and other required meetings.
