Location: Fremantle & Kwinana, WA
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Start Date: ASAP (notice periods considered)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
Rate: $64.93/hour flat + agency charge rate

Are you a detail-oriented communicator with a passion for creating clear, compliant, and user-friendly documentation? We’re seeking a Technical Writer to join our Risk, Quality & Compliance team for a 12-month contract supporting operational excellence for our client based in Fremantle.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll assist in uplifting and standardising operational guidelines, policies, procedures, work instructions, and training materials. You’ll also help ensure documents are correctly formatted, archived, and aligned with regulatory and organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and update operational procedures aligned with HSE systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate documentation into Fremantle Ports’ broader management systems.
  • Ensure all documents meet stakeholder needs and comply with relevant standards.
  • Archive outdated procedures and maintain document version control.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience writing and updating technical documents.
  • Strong operational, technical, and systems documentation skills.
  • Awareness of usability mapping and document accessibility.
  • Excellent attention to detail and formatting standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
