Job description

Job Title: Accounts Payable Officer
Employer: DFP Recruitment client
Position Type: 5 week casual temporary contract (possibility of 3-6 month extension)
Pay Rate: $35 per hour
Location: Fremantle, WA 6160
Role Overview: This role is responsible for timely and accurate processing invoices and expense management using PeopleSoft Finance and related systems.

 
Key Responsibilities;
  • Process non-student related invoices and expense management reports accurately within the established policies and procedures, with a strong focus on providing a quality customer service.
  • Daily management of the relevant email inbox(es) including responding to queries regarding policy, procedures, systems or guidelines.
  • Resolution of outstanding issues in a timely manner by taking appropriate action and maintenance of appropriate records to provide transparency with all stakeholders.
  • Recovery of outstanding invoices in a timely manner.
  • Proactively contribute to improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of processing, billing and expense management while maintaining quality standards and continuously improving service delivery.
  • Ensuring all relevant records are created and maintained including customer details.
  • Comply with policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct.
  • Comply with all other reasonable training and duties as identified by the line manager (or delegate).
  • Comply with the clients policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct.
 
 
Essential to be successful in this role;
  • Diploma level qualification in Accounting/Finance
  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Expense Management 
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve processing targets, effectively manage competing priorities and daily work activities, to ensure deadlines and Service Levels are met.
  • Proven record of preparing high quality documentation with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Superior customer service skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and implementing efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use MS Office (in particular Excel) and experience in the use of a finance information system, preferably PeopleSoft.
  • Current valid NPC or able to obtain one
