Job description

Our State Government client is looking for an experienced AO3 Business Support Officer who join their team in Cairns immediately.
 
This role will be providing a combination of administration support to the Regional Director and providing depot administration support functions including the reviewing, following up and actioning of timesheets. 

The responsibilities of the position include: 
  • Provide high level administrative support to the Leadership Team
  • Diary Management
  • Coordinate correspondence and responses.
  • Organising meetings as required, including the preparation of agendas and taking minutes.
  • Compiling of conflict-of-interest documents
  • Coordinating of uniform orders for field staff
  • Other duties as directed.
Key skills required:
  • Confidentiality and discretion required.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills are mandatory. Visio would also be an advantage.
  • Sound typing skills with good accuracy.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Able to communicate with executive level staff including Directors.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet timeframes.
This role is paying an hourly rate of $46.27 + Super p/h and offering an initial 3-month temporary engagement with a possibility of an extension.
