Our valued State Government client is seeking an AO5/1 Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator to join their team in Brisbane for an immediate start.

Reporting to the WHS Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Support return-to-work activities including reviewing and developing suitable duties plans, reviewing of medical certificates and rehabilitation activities for example, ergonomic assessments and organising OT assessments
- Assisting with organising / conducting planning actions for whole of business improvement initiative, such as organising and coordinating WHS training and assisting with organising safety culture activities
- Assist with reporting and investigating of WHS&E incidents and contractor notifiable incidents.
- Assist with coordinating emergency planning and response activities at the direction of WHS Manager.
- Provide assistance to the WHS Manager on WHS matters including reporting and planning, coordination of WHS events, maintaining the SHE Audit schedule and WHS Hub page.
To perform the role of a RRTWC effectively, you will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of the workers’ compensation system, e.g. legislative requirements and the responsibilities of employers and injured employees.
- Knowledge of the rehabilitation process, including the legislated Standard of Rehabilitation.
- The ability to communicate effectively with, and to facilitate the assistance of, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, line managers, injured employees and others.
- Excellent written communication and numeracy skills
- Deliver suitable duties plan to staff across a wide range of skill sets
