Job description

Our valued State Government client is seeking a skilled Senior Systems Administrator to provide technical direction, implementation, and support for enterprise IT infrastructure. You will ensure high-quality ICT services across multiple agencies, supporting both desktop and cloud environments while promoting secure, efficient, and modern IT practices.

What you’ll do:
  • Install, configure, maintain, and optimise cloud-based Microsoft environments, MECM, InTune, and AutoPilot.
  • Manage software distribution, patching, image deployment, and asset inventory.
  • Provide 2nd level support, analysing IT and security issues and delivering robust solutions.
  • Apply technical and procedural information security controls across desktop and server infrastructure.
  • Implement ITIL best practices for change, incident, capacity, risk, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
  • Mentor 1st level support staff, ensuring compliance with systems and service standards.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting customer-focused service delivery.
  • Promote workplace diversity and contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, MECM, InTune, AutoPilot, Windows 11, and Server 2019+.
  • Strong Active Directory, Group Policy, and endpoint management skills.
  • Experience with ITIL Service Management (incident, problem, change, configuration, test).
  • 2nd level technical support and analysis skills (SFIA TECH Level 5).
  • PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Endpoint Manager experience desirable.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications and tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
  • Ability to embrace change, prioritise tasks, and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
