As Senior Communications Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of strategic communications that inform, engage and build confidence with key stakeholders and communities.
This high-impact role suits a senior professional with a strong background in infrastructure or government communications, particularly in complex or sensitive environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver communication strategies for major infrastructure projects
- Manage communications across multiple channels – digital, print, media and stakeholder briefings
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders including MPs, councils, community groups and businesses
- Deliver proactive engagement activities including eDMs, newsletters, events and advertising campaigns
- Support milestone reporting, funding communications, and project evaluations
- Collaborate with media, engagement, and project delivery teams
- Travel to regional NSW (approx. once per month – all expenses covered)
- 10+ years’ experience in communications and stakeholder engagement (government or infrastructure preferred)
- Proven ability to manage sensitive, complex or high-profile projects
- Strong writing, planning, and campaign delivery skills
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team
- Experience with public-facing communications and community engagement activities
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 30 June 2026
- Rate: $70–$75 per hour + Super (dependent on experience level)
- Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week
- Location: Parramatta (or other NSW offices outside of Sydney) + 4 days WFH if suitable
- Travel: Monthly regional travel (expenses covered)
- Reporting to: Communications Manager
- Team Size: 6 (mix of senior and junior advisers)
