Job description

We are seeking an experienced Co-Design Procurement Officer to join a Government Agency based at an APS6 equivalent based in either Geelong or Richmond. Working within the Co-Design and Engagement Branch, the role plays a critical role in engaging with the community by delivering on nation events and engagement activities to raise awareness and understanding of the agency’s operations.

In addition, you will:
  • Assist the leadership team by overseeing the development and implementation of procurement activities relating to co-design, building trust of the agency within the disability community.
  • Assisting with procurement processes and documentation preparation associated with Co-design activities, including ongoing contract management.
  • Assist the leadership team in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and build support of the program within the disability sector.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to work collaboratively on projects.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Experience in procurement or financial management would be highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, being able to write succinctly across communications platforms and for different audiences.
  • Experience within Project Management would be highly desirable.
  • Manage multiple purchase orders and the payment of invoices in accordance with best practice
  • Building cohesive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to manage the co-design procurement activities encouraging diverse views to work collaboratively towards mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Maintaining thorough and auditable records and documentation.
  • Experience managing competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
