Job description

DFP Recruitment are urgently seeking 2x experienced Cost Modelling and Data Analysts to join a large federal government client on a contract basis.
 
This client helps to protect the health, interests, and wellbeing of members of the community who are receiving aged care services by regulating funded care at a national level.
 
Joining an already established team as a contractor your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
  • Supporting the development of resource bids for new policy proposals through effective collaboration with teams across the Commission.
  • Supporting the interpretation and management of cost recovery models, as well as developing and interpreting costing and staffing resource models.
  • Independently engage with internal and external stakeholders, including effectively communicating financial or technical information to stakeholders with varying levels of financial or technical knowledge.
  • Actively participate in researching and writing high-quality communication materials, including briefings tailored for various audiences.
  • Assist with the development and interpretation of costing and staffing resource models.
  • Assist with interpreting and managing cost recovery models.
  • Undertake analysis (as required) to support the evidence base for programs ran by the organisation.
  • Support the organisations business and vision and contribute to the Section’s strategic direction and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work in a virtual environment in a team that works in office locations across Australia.
 To be successful in this role you should have:
  • A tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or related areas.
  • Experience in Financial and cost analysis to develop, cost recovery and/or resource modelling.
  • Experience in, or an understanding in report building and analysing data e.g. Advanced Excel, Python, R Studio, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, SAS and Google Analytics
  • Experience using TechnologyONE would be advantageous
  • Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of audiences utilising written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in, or an understanding of analysing financial data and information and drawing appropriate conclusions and presenting in an engaging way. 
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
Successful candidate will receive:
  • Contract through to end of June 2024 with an extension of 12 months
  • Flexible hybrid work arrangements
  • Baseline preferred, but not essential
