About the Organisation
Our client is at the forefront of the Government’s digital policy agenda. The Agency is the Government’s chief digital advisor, responsible for providing strategic and policy leadership on whole-of-government and shared information and communications technology (ICT) investments and digital service delivery. It leads the development, delivery and monitoring of whole-of-government strategies, policies, and standards.

About the position
The Web/SharePoint developer will work across SharePoint and the GovCMS SaaS platforms. This role will assist with site-building, rebranding, refining information architecture and functionality. The successful candidate will also have the potential to work on other CMS/WCM solutions in the future.
The Web/SharePoint developer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. They will also assist the team to prepare for a fully informed redevelopment in the new financial year. Working with a content designer the website developer will be required to look at the current information architecture and ensure that we are prepared for redevelopment in the next financial year.

This will be a 6 month non ongoing contract with a 6 month extension (and potential to become permanent).

Roles and responsibilities
Activities include, but aren’t limited to:
• GovCMS SaaS platform
• Drupal development and enhancements
• CMS/WCM
• Content migration and consolidation
• Web front end development
• Define metadata and taxonomies for content types
• Maintain availability of agency SharePoint sites
• Perform troubleshooting and incident resolution tasks
• Manage SharePoint sites, security, and performance
• Migration of SharePoint sites from on-premise to online
• Knowledge sharing to other Branch/IT personnel and agency users.

Capabilities required
• SharePoint Developer/Administrator specialising in application support, enhancements and platform development
• Web front and back end development skills
• Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Drupal 9
• GovCMS and SaaS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to explain technical language to non technical stakeholders
