DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to engage on a temporary contract for 8 months with our State Government client based in Perth CBD
Position: Business Analyst
Contract duration: 8 month contract with the possibility of extension
Location: Perth CBD
Hours per week: 3 Day per week (0.6 FTE)
Salary range: $65.00 - $90.00 per hour + Superannuation
We are currently working on behalf of our State Government client, a renowned organisation in need of a skilled Business Analyst to join their team on a 8-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project and gain valuable experience within a dynamic work environment.
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for facilitating effective communication between project teams and stakeholders. This is a crucial position that requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. To support these Projects, a Business Analyst is required to help to identify, define, analyse, and confirm business, functional and systems requirements.

- Strategic analysis of options and planning and scoping of several inter-related projects within the program
- Document user stories, test cases
- Document processes artefact
- Assist and support user testing
- Conduct project change management activities
- Facilitates workshops and training sessions
- Engages with senior stakeholders and vendors
- Familiar with ICT and operational processes
- Assist to establish program management office/governance
- Substantial years of hands-on working experience as Business Analyst
- Experienced in gathering, define, and document business requirements, specification, and acceptance criteria
- Experienced in writing Business Case and handling Gateway Review reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in facilitating workshops, meetings, and interviews to gather requirements.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
