The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Assistant Director, Communication and Engagement Projects to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in Geelong or Melbourne. This is a 12 month assignment paying $585 per day plus super.  

This is a leadership role and will be responsible for one or more high profile projects focused on multi-channel engagement and communication strategies. You will lead the team and have responsibility for resource management, performance management and planning.
 
The role would suit applicants with experience leading and managing change projects within an agile environment.  
 
Responsibilities include;
  • Provide direction to project areas to drive behavioural change through communication and engagement activities
  • Provide advice and support to the Director including strategic planning, reporting and forecasting
  • Support leaders within the organisation to drive organisational change and culture within a large and complex environment
  • Develop and deliver best practice communication and engagement to staff with measurable impact
  • Develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop accessible communication material
  • Represent the organisation in stakeholder interactions and meetings
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate; 
  • Experience in project and change management
  • Leadership experience with the ability to build capacity within a team
  • Strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key senior stakeholders
