The Opportunity

On behalf of a Federal Government Agency based in Richmond or Geelong, we are looking for an EL1 Divisional Support Officer. The role will be paying $602.55 per day plus super on a 12-month assignment.

The position is responsible for providing efficient and effective high-level management support services and strategic advice to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This includes coordination and analysis of correspondence, budget management and reporting, developing written reports and briefing material.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating operational and administrative duties and tasks.
  • Initiating, tracking, and resolving human resource issues and informing the Chief Operating Officer of progress.
  • Directing enquiries and requests to relevant business areas and providing advice to the Chief Operating Officer on documents and engagement opportunities requiring a response.
  • Facilitating the provisioning of messages and advice from the Chief Operating Officer to staff within the division and wider Agency and assisting with the timely flow of documents for clearance.
  • Coordinating the end-to-end life cycle of parliamentary document records across the division using prescribed processes and procedures.
  • Performing budget management functions including monthly performance reporting, budget tracking and identifying and taking corrective action as necessary.
To be considered you will demonstrate:
  • Executive Support experience
  • Ability to understand and apply company policy and procedures.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Government Agency experience will be advantageous.
