The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our Federal Government client in a 12 month assignment based in Richmond. This role will be EL2 equivalent and will pay $731 per day plus super.
The Role
The EL2 Product Owner is part of a branch that enables effective management of plans through digital programs, as well as develops and executes the digital strategy across the department. It is important that the successful candidate can embrace ambiguity and have a self-motivated passion to find solutions that build the team brand and value in the process.
This role is an important team leadership position within the department and will have authority and responsibility across a wide range of complex work. The role is required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for their delegates and team.

Responsibilities may include

  • Facilitate workshops to capture key insights around user and customer experience gaps
  • Conduct returns on investment analysis on potential functionality and utilise insights to define a digital product roadmap with prioritised features
  • Translate business problems into Epic themes and user stories
  • Deliver products and business change programs associated with new tools and processes
  • Facilitate ongoing consultation through product development stages and post release, ensuring user needs and accessibility requirements are met
  • Collect and represent the requirements of the ‘Experience Delivery Group’ and ensure prioritisation with the technology delivery capacity of Salesforce CRM
  • Educate stakeholders in the use of Salesforce CRM
 
About you
To be considered for this role candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • More than 3 years’ experience as a product owner or product manager
  • Salesforce certification or relevant experience with Salesforce
  • Proven relationship management and engagement experience with the ability to work in partnership with stakeholders
  • Supervision/coaching/leadership skills with the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team
  • Have a passion for improving digital tools for people with a disability
