Job description

Removalist required for immediate start with a long standing and trusted removal and storage company in Broome.  This is a casual, ongoing position.  $32 per hour.

Duties:
·         Report to nominated person at required starting time each shift.
·         Pack, wrap and stow customer's goods and furniture as directed.
·         Remove and relocate customer's goods and furniture according as directed.
·         Use packing materials efficiently in all removals/relocations ensuring recovery after job completion.
·         Assemble adequate resources for each removal/relocation prior to daily departure.
·         Follow our client’s security policies and procedures in order to protect customer's goods.
·         Always treat our client’s property with due care.
·         Removal/ storage of furniture both residential and commercial properties
·         Correct blanket wrapping and furniture packing into the removal truck
·         Travelling to other remote communities and townships within the Kimberley (may require overnight stays)
·         Dealing with customers when on location
·         As a participant in our client’s commitment to on-going improvement, report on the condition of any consignment unloaded in the depot and if damages have occurred, offer constructive comment on the possible cause.
·         Adhere to all company OHS Policy and Procedures i.e. Manual Handling Procedure
 
To be successful for this role, you must have:
  • Removal experience – Desirable
  • Minimum C Class drivers licence
  • The ability to work flexible hours
  • The ability to travel for work
  • Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • You must be self-motivated, punctual, reliable, and a team player
