IT Continuity & Cyber Resilience Specialist 
  • 12-months contract with possible extension
  • ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC
  • Negative Vetting Level 1 required
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Continuity & Cyber Resilience Specialist to join our Government Client team. 
 
Role responsibilities
  • Lead the design and execution of enterprise-level ICT Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and system contingency strategies.
  • Identify and assess risks, capability gaps, and resilience challenges related to crisis management and ICT infrastructure.
  • Integrate cybersecurity principles with business continuity and disaster recovery planning to enhance organizational preparedness.
  • Apply deep understanding of IT infrastructure and disaster recovery technologies to support resilient system design.
  • Analyze cyber threat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to evaluate their implications for DR and BCP effectiveness.
  • Implement contingency planning frameworks and standards such as NIST SP 800-34, ISM, ISO 27001, and ISO 22301.
  • Facilitate and lead tabletop exercises, disaster simulations, and post-incident reviews to validate response capabilities.
  • Apply cloud-based continuity strategies and technologies to support modern infrastructure resilience.
  • Ensure BCP and DR practices are aligned with enterprise risk management principles and meet internal and external audit requirements.
Skills
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in cyber security.
  • Experience in Australian Government organisations.
  • Experience with disaster recovery scenario's, continuity planning, crisis management plans.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, cloud environments, and cybersecurity principles.
