Agency: Federal Government - Information Management and Technology Division, Cyber Security and Networks Branch
Location: ACT with flexible arrangements (3 days in office minimum)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Security Clearance: NV1 clearance required
 
Position Purpose:

DFP Recruitment is hiring for 2 Skilled Network Engineers for the Cyber Security and Networks Branch within the Agency’s Information Management and Technology Division. These positions are crucial for the day-to-day operations of the Agency's global network and gateways. As part of your role, you will engage in strategic planning and innovative activities to support departmental and whole-of-government priorities. You will also contribute to strengthening and modernising the Agency’s gateway environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the operations of global systems.
  • Provide technical contributions to network and gateway technologies, including Juniper, Cisco, Trend Micro, F5, Clearswift, and Fortigate.
  • Contribute to documentation efforts.
Key Skills:
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience demonstrating strong gateway engineering and technical skills.
  • Experience in developing high-level and detailed gateway designs.
  • Ability to articulate technical details through design and implementation plans.
  • Highly developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills:
  • Broad understanding of industry trends, whole-of-government direction, and emerging technologies for solving business problems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client services skills.
  • Understanding of ASD Essential 8 and experience with contributing to security accreditation of ICT systems.
  • Experience in the day-to-day operations of highly secured networks and cryptography solutions.
