Project Finance Business Partner – 6 months with possible extension – State Government
Our state government client is seeking an experienced Project Finance Business Partner for a 6-month contract with possible extension in East Perth, WA.
Rate: $65 - $72 per hour plus Super
Please note: Higher hourly rate may be negotiable for skilled and suitable candidates
Hours: Full-time – 38 hours per week
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Location: East Perth WA
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)
Start: ASAP (pending recruitment process and notice period)

Duties:
With guidance from Project Finance Business Partnering Manager, this role will:
Essential:
Possession of tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting that provides eligibility for membership to CA, CPA or IPA
Substantial knowledge, understanding, and experience in working with Financial Management systems in large organisations.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Full working rights within Australia
Current National Police Clearance (dated within 6 months)

Title: Project Finance Business Partner
Duties:
With guidance from Project Finance Business Partnering Manager, this role will:
- provide assistance and support to the wider Project Management team on monthly accruals and forecasting.
- provide guidance to Project Manager to cost and budget for new and existing projects,
- provide specialist support in building project financial cost formation - forecasting through forecasting model and integration with existing systems
- Act as liaison between finance staff/business support team to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the project management and cost and investigate any variances
- Apply analysis and problem-solving techniques to improve the accuracy of project financial information
- Provide timely and proactive specialist advice to various stakeholders on the financial health of the project portfolio/Directorate
Essential:
- A Project Accounting or similar role
- Project budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial analysis
- Coaching, influencing and advising others to adopt financial management best practices
- Building and enhancing stakeholder relationships
- Written communication and negotiation
