Job description

DFP Recruitment are seeking  experienced Sourcing and Category Specialists for numerous temporary and permanent vacancies around Perth, Western Australia.

 Responsibilities include:
  • Contract negotiation
  • Manage purchases and supplier contracts
  • Monitoring
  • Reporting contract performance
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers
  • Developing sourcing strategies for new and existing projects
  • Performing scope and risk assessments and determining project requirements
  • Negotiating supplier agreements and drafting terms and conditions of contracts
  • Engaging supplier markets and developing requests for tender submissions
About You:
  • Demonstrated Contract/Procurement/Sourcing/Category Specialist experience 
  • Previous experience in Government (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience within the purchasing/contracting functions
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information to others both verbally and in writing and ability to satisfactorily resolve issues with customers
  • Ability to accurately read, interpret, develop and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Skilled in the development and use of ERP/financial or other business systems
  • Working knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code and/or commercial contracting business terms
  • Working knowledge of strategic sourcing concepts and methodologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
