About the role
The Operational Technology and Information portfolio is seeking a pool of experienced System Administrators and/or DevOps Engineers to work with the Covert & Technical Operations (CTO) Change Program for the delivery of the Data Management & Analysis Platform (DMAP) under the CTO Change Program.
The Specified Personnel can work from a variety of locations in Australia but will need to travel approximately every fortnight to Client's Headquarters in Canberra.
 
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient & demonstrated experience at designing, deploying and maintaining Linux systems.
  • Experience using collaboration tools that includes git, issue tracking and wikis. (e.g. GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
Desirable criteria: 
  • Linux administration (e.g. Ubuntu, RHEL)
  • Containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Automation tooling (e.g. Ansible)
  • NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Web servers (e.g. nginx)
  • Message queues/event streaming (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka)
  • Workflow orchestration (e.g. Nifi, Prefect, Airflow)
  • Cloud platform providers (e.g. Azure, AWS or Google)
  • Centralised logging (e.g. Elastic stack ELK, Splunk)
  • Ensuring best security practices and processes (e.g. Essential 8, Information Security Manual)
  • Understanding network protocols and working with Agile methodologies (e.g. Kanban, Scrum)
To be considered in this role, you will need to be an Australian Citizen with an ability to obtain and maintain NV1 clearance.
