Improving the capability of NDIS service providers to deliver quality behaviour support to NDIS participants. The delivery of quality behaviour support will result in improved recognition of the needs of people with disability, and expression of their human rights through the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices. Capability in behaviour support will be supported through deeming practitioners as suitable to practice against the capability framework, the development of policy and guidance materials, education, training and advice, monitoring the use and quality of behaviour support plans and restrictive practices, and research on the most effective ways of providing behaviour support.
