Job description

DFP Perth are seeking an Accounts Payable Data Analyst to engage on a 6 month casual contract with a State Government agency based in Perth 6000.

Position: Accounts Payable Data Analyst  

Location: Perth 6000 

Length of Assignment: 6 months 

Rate of Pay: Open to Market 

Role Description: This role involves daily review of Accounts Payable data and Corporate Credit Card data analytics to identify potential duplicate payments, investigate discrepancies, and initiate the refund recovery process when required. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monthly reporting of findings to Finance Management, reconciling Staff Rentals and Bonds to the General Ledger, updating staff tenancy records with payroll rental deductions fortnightly, and creating and reconciling staff payments upon occupancy or vacating a property. 


Key Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct daily reviews of Accounts Payable and Corporate Credit Card data to identify potential duplicate payments. 
  • Investigate discrepancies and initiate the refund recovery process as needed. 
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports of findings to Finance Management. 
  • Reconcile Staff Rentals and Bonds to the General Ledger on a monthly basis. 
  • Update staff tenancy records with payroll rental deductions on a fortnightly basis. 
  • Create and reconcile staff payments upon occupancy or vacating a property. 
Essential: 
  • Ability to review and analyze large volumes of Accounts Payable/Corporate Credit Card data downloaded daily from our financial systems. 
  • Investigate potential duplicate payments and submit monthly reports on findings. 
  • Reconcile General Ledger to Rental Payroll deduction reports. 
  • Attention to detail and intermediate Excel skills. 
  • National Police Clearance 
Desirable: 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
