Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to manage the administrative fleet function in Cairns. This role includes vehicle allocation, coordinating servicing and repairs, preparing replacement documentation, monitoring vehicle use, and general admin tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate a fleet of 130+ vehicles, including leases, fuel management, servicing, and maintenance.
- Allocate vehicles using the UMS booking system and monitor utilisation to support operational efficiency.
- Manage internal and external correspondence, telephone calls, and enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Compile reports, update records, and maintain documentation using systems such as Microsoft Excel and Ellipse.
- Develop and maintain procedures, manuals, and registers, contributing to process improvement.
- Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services.
- Perform general administration tasks, including stationery ordering and supporting team operations.
Key Requirements:
- Daily use and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous fleet management experience, ideally within government, is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service, administration, and organisational skills.
