Job description



Duration: ASAP start until January 2026 (possible extension)

This well known Government department requires the services of an experienced Facilities Coordinator for their Rockhampton office.
This will be an immediate start.  You must have the experience required either from another Government Department or a large company in a 
facilities role.
The hours are full time 36.25 hours per week


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the facility to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
  • Implement business plans supporting research, development, and extension activities.
  • Manage risk programs ensuring compliance with WH&S, environmental, pest/waste management, and fire safety regulations.
  • Oversee operations, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of assets including heavy plant, vehicles, machinery, and infrastructure.
  • Support statewide facility functions including accommodation and contract administration.
  • Assist with minor works projects across Customer and Business Services.
  • Use systems such as Chemwatch and financial reporting tools.
  • Manage financial resources in line with public finance standards, including budgeting and reporting.
Requirements:

Must have facility experience within a government body or large organisation.
  • Mandatory: C Class Driver’s Licence (desirable)
