An exciting opportunity is available for multiple APS5 Project Officers to support the delivery of nationally significant programs and initiatives focused on performance, quality, reporting and continuous improvement. This assignment is through until 31st December with view to extension.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, sound judgement and experience supporting projects in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
About the role
Working under limited supervision, the Project Officer will contribute to moderately complex to complex project and program activities. The role supports planning, reporting, analysis and coordination functions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting project management and coordination activities
- Monitoring and reviewing project and program activities against plans
- Drafting written materials including business cases, briefs, plans and reports
- Assisting with project quality management and assurance activities
- Conducting research, analysis and reporting on project outcomes
- Extracting, analysing and presenting data using reporting tools and dashboards
- Supporting the development of communication materials and business insights
- Responding to stakeholder enquiries and feedback
- Coordinating reporting and tracking improvement outcomes
- Managing workflow routing and contributing to quality trend analysis
You will bring:
- Experience supporting projects or programs in a government, regulatory or complex operational environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
- The ability to translate technical information into clear, accessible communication
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Sound judgement and an evidence-based approach to decision-making
- A collaborative mindset with the confidence to work independently
