A number of opportunities are available for experienced APS5 Quality Officers to join a national quality and assurance function supporting high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement outcomes. These assignments are through until 31st December 2026 with view to extension.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys analytical work, quality reviews, and applying legislation, policy and guidance to assess decision-making and operational practices.
About the role Working under limited supervision, the Quality Officer will undertake moderately complex to complex quality assurance activities. The role contributes to improving consistency, compliance and decision-making quality through structured reviews, analysis and clear written feedback.

- Conducting quality assurance and quality control reviews
- Assessing legislative, policy and process compliance
- Providing clear, evidence-based written commentary and recommendations
- Recording review outcomes accurately in relevant systems
- Identifying risks and escalating issues in line with established processes
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting team members through knowledge sharing and mentoring
- Managing workflow requests and competing priorities effectively
- Experience in quality assurance, auditing or review activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear, concise written communication skills
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedural guidance
- Confidence working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgement
