  • 12-month contract

The Organisation:
This Government body works with people with disability, providers, and the community to deliver nationally consistent, responsive, and effective regulation of service providers. They seek to uphold the rights of, and promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of people with disability receiving supports or services.

About the role:

The APS6 ICT Workforce Coordinator position is a team leadership position within this Government Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve complex recruitment issues and risks across a range of activities. The position provides leadership, advice, and support in relation to ICT workforce co-ordination, recruiting, and supporting senior stakeholders on their workforce plan and reporting. The position has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy, in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the functions.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  • Providing administrative support, managing emails, meetings, business documents, business area registers and systems.
  • Identifying and prioritising business demands through co-ordinating, monitoring, and collating data for workforce planning and reporting (including overview of APS and Labour Hire Worker).
  • Overseeing compliance related activities using relevant legislation, policy frameworks and procedures.
  • Resolving problems using knowledge and experience and taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
  • Providing advice, procedural guidance, and technical expertise in specific areas of APS recruitment and Labour Hire Worker procurement.
  • Supporting the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Providing support to team members and peers to complete activities in peak periods and or periods of (un)scheduled leave.
  • Additional duties as directed by the Branch Manager and/or Director.
About You:
You’ll have well aligned working history with Government experience or an understanding of APS Recruitment. You are a self-starter, process orientated and have high-attention to detail and work well in a fast passed environment to meet deadlines demonstrate flexibility and independent judgement with respect to common tasks.
Essential Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake complex recruitment advice and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislative, financial, recruitment and administrative frameworks and government decision making processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the ability to provide high level advice on a range on complex operational, procedural, administration, and business management activities.
Skills and Personal Attributes
  • Accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements.
  • Maintain and update operational policies of the Business Management Team.
  • Maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
  • Have the ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards; and manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate to your role and duties.
Desirable
  • Working understanding of Managing Commonwealth Resources framework.
