Depending on the state in which you are seeking employment, there may be varying requirements for pre-employment testing, medicals or clearances.

In addition to the recruitment process, you may be expected to undergo a combination of the following activities:

Drug and Alcohol Screen Testing

Police Clearance

As part of a client’s employment policy, applicants may be required to undergo a national criminal history record check as part of the recruitment process.

The employer makes the final decision on your employability. Having a criminal record can affect your ability to be employed. Most of the minor incidents are of no concern but in the resource sector there is a zero tolerance to violence or drugs. This is due to working in remote environments where machinery and dangerous goods can be present and employee occupational health and safety is paramount to the employer as part of their ongoing duty of care.
