DFP Recruitmentis hiring for APS6 Project Officer role with one of our Federal Government client. The  APS 6 Project Officer will be required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.

Key Skills: Preference is for the candidate to have a service design background this could be in fields of digital, business process or design of customer service/ experience.

 Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the project management framework.
  • Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports, including on relevant governance activities.
  • Co-creating and documenting current state , to identify current participant and staff experience and business processes.
  • Co-facilitating design-thinking sessions with service users to design and test future service processes, channel, and experiences.
  • Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Overseeing end-to-end service experiences in line with the Digital Service Standard, ensuring changes are consistent for all users across different touchpoints.
 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Researching and identifying insights contributing to Agency understanding of information.
  • Co-creating and documenting current state service through design and research, to identify current participant and staff experience and business processes.
  • Co-creating and co-facilitating process design improvements.
  • Advocating for the voice and experience of participants and stakeholders through work processes.
  • Co-facilitating design-thinking sessions with service users to design and test future service processes, channel and experiences.
  • Applying in-depth knowledge of the role and functions of the agency and the related impacts across work areas.
  • Overseeing end-to-end service experiences in line with the Digital Service Standard, ensuring changes are based on participant and staff need and are consistent for all users across different touchpoints.  
  • Contributing to the evaluation of proposed solutions and design at both a conceptual and tactical level. 
  • Assisting management with the use of system tools and other duties as required
