Job description

The Opportunity

On behalf of a Government Agency based in Richmond we are looking for an experienced Risk Advisory Officer. This is a 12 month assignment, full time hours paying $58.50 per hour plus super.

The Role

As the risk officer you will be responsible for tasks including;
  • Facilitate risk discussions and reviews with risk owners in line with the risk management framework
  • Coordinate activities to remediate and close incidents
  • Analyse trends in mitigating risks, including risk treatment plans used to minimise potential exposure and harness opportunities
  • Provide input into the preparation of risk reporting
  • Deliver risk management training and education programs across the business
  • Foster relationships with risk and assurance teams to ensure appropriate management of shared risks and issues
  • Provide admin support of the Integrated Risk Management System
 
About you

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience within a similar role in particular within public sector
  • Demonstrated team player with the ability to provide a mentor role within the team
  • Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and well developed written and oral communications
  • Competent and experienced reporting to senior executives regarding risk issues
  • Ability to respond and prioritise competing and often urgent requests
  • Demonstrated experience working within a complex and rapidly changing environment
