Business Analyst  
  • State Government opportunity.
  • 6 months contract
  • $700 - $850 + Super per day
  • Location – Sydney
 
Our client is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Analyst.

Primary purpose of the role

As Business Analyst you will be responsible for performing the analysis of Service Planning initiatives which help solve business problems through the definition of business and technical requirements, you will support in the design and testing of fit for purpose solutions.
In addition, you will provide support in process and change management to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new solutions or processes within the organisation.

Key accountabilities
  • Collaborating with business users and Subject Matter Experts to understand business needs, map current state processes, gather information and analyse requirements
  • Prepare requirement and functional specifications to deliver sound business analysis for Service Planning and operations initiatives and highlight gaps
  • Manage requirements traceability across all phases of service planning projects
  • Assist stakeholders and business users to develop test cases and scenarios for User Acceptance Testing Role.
  • Develop training and change materials for business users to support project delivery
  • Support business users and stakeholders to transition projects into ‘Business as Usual' by development of best practice tools and templates to support the implementation of the framework
  • Adhere to the Systems development / project lifecycle framework utilised by Service Planning for all projects
  • Manage the updates to process, procedure or policy documentation used by the Business to reflect changes from transformation activities or the implementation of new systems
  • Execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities consistent with NSW client safety management system requirements as defined in SMS document and safety plans Key challenges.
Key knowledge & experience
  • Minimum 4+ years functional Business Analysis experience
  • Strong knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
