Job description

DFP Recruitment Perth are currently seeking a Business Services Officer for a 3 month contract with our client in Leederville.

About the Role:

Provides business, financial and people support, processing and analysis services to support Project Management Branch in the asset creation process of delivering new engineering assets.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver an effective range of business services to Project Management Branch, including:
  • Internal recharge support, cost allocation/distribution and processing.
  • Branch financial reporting support including preparation of resources cost allocations.
  • Provide procurement services, advice support and education for Project Management Branch and external suppliers.
  • Monitor Purchasing Card use, allocations and compliance of PMB cardholders and provide training and education for Users and Managers.
  • Co-ordinate the creation, extension and amendments of Agency contracts and payments to contractors of PMB.
  • Provide OSH support services.
  • Provide coordination of travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of PMB Business Services webpage and Team work instructions.
  • Facilitates a comprehensive training support service to Project Management Branch, including:
  • Liaison with Management in relation to sourcing, availability, scheduling and appropriateness of required training and development requirements.
  • Arrange necessary approvals, bookings, participant information and payment of training requests/attendances.
  • Record training events and maintain personnel records in SAP, and follow up participant feedback for future planning.
  • Provide various training reports from SAP/LMS.
  • Provides advice, education and input on administrative issues and processes to Branch personnel.
  • Management of PMB pool and assigned vehicles ensuring vehicles are effective issued to PMB personnel.

Essential:

  • Extensive knowledge of financial and administrative skills
  • High level of word processing skills, experience in office business applications (Teams / Microsoft 365, MS Office Suite)
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a team environment  


The successful candidate will need to provide a current police clearance and be fully vaccinated against covid-19, including a booster if eligible.
