Job description

Our client, Access Mercantile based in Melbourne’s South East are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to join their customer service team! As a result of business growth they are looking for candidates that will demonstrate a strong customer service focus that will be confident, proactive & professional in communicating with customers dealing with financial hardships or change in circumstance. 

About the role: 
• Managing inbound and outbound calls utilising communication, empathy and negotiation skills
• Assist with resolving disputes, claims and payments
• Keeping accurate records of customer interactions and investigations 
• Working towards business KPI’s  

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Previous experience in debt recovery 
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Customer service skills specifically the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
• Experience in taking payments & negotiating payment schedules 
• Ability to have difficult conversation with customers and remain professional
• High level of attention to detail and ability to keep detailed records
• High level of resilience

Commencing immediately this is a full-time position with hours of work rostered between 8:30AM to 6PM Monday to Friday on rotation.
