Job Opportunity: Environment Advisor
DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Environment Advisor to engage on a temporary contract with a State Government agency based in Perth’s CBD.
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay rate: $96, 307.00 – $121, 569.00 based on experience
Location: Perth CBD
Role Description: As an Environmental Advisor you will be providing expert advice for major State Government transport projects. Work closely with the Environmental Manager to ensure compliance with legislation and environmental standards.

Responsibilities
- Offer technical advice and support, conducting compliance reviews and facilitating stakeholder communication.
- Manage consultant contracts and coordinate environmental reporting.
- Represent the Environmental Services Branch at workshops and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Fulfill additional duties as required.
Selection Criteria
Core Competencies:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related fields.
- Understanding of environmental legislation and its application.
- Experience in engaging and managing consultants, with practical knowledge of environmental management in transport projects.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Proficiency in analysis, research, and report writing.
Organisational Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
Special Requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of medical examinations and a current Police Clearance certificate.
- Possession of a valid Western Australian 'C' or 'C-A' Class Driver’s Licensed or equivalent.
- Ability to meet the requirement of Supervised Worker (SW) Track Access within an agreed period.
