Job description

As a Field Practice Advisor, for our State Government client, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the Field Practice documentation suite, ensuring compliance with legislative and industry standards. You will provide technical advice on documentation and methodology, guiding and coaching your team on best work practices.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Bentley or regional offices.

Your Role Will Include:
  • Developing and reviewing field practice documentation for safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of work on electricity distribution, transmission, and generation assets.
  • Creating work, equipment, and support instructions for the safe execution of tasks involving new assets or technology.
  • Identifying, researching, and implementing improvements in tools, equipment, and work techniques for tasks on or near electricity distribution, transmission, and generation assets.
  • Providing technical advice on work conducted on or near electricity distribution, transmission, and generation assets.
  • Conducting field assurance activities to ensure adherence to Horizon Power field practice documentation, systems, and processes.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘CA’.
  • Trade or tertiary qualification related to electricity utilities (electrical, engineering, or safety qualification).
  • High Voltage Glove and Barrier qualification (desired).
  • An understanding of electricity utilities encompassing distribution and/or transmission and/or generation.
  • Familiarity with electricity and WHS legislation, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and ENA guidelines applicable to a utility business.
