Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Employer: DFP Recruitment client
Position Type: 12-month casual temporary contract
Pay Rate: Competitive
Location: Bentley, WA 6102
Role Overview: The Health and Safety Manager ensures compliance with health and safety regulations for the feasibility study team, supporting the client and the WA WHS Act requirements. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Support feasibility study team health and safety compliance the client and WA WHS Act legislation requirements.
  • Update and communicate the requirements of the health and safety plan to the client and subconsultants.
  • Support and review the client and subconsultant’s safety related risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Conduct incident investigations and lessons learned.
  • Conduct safety related audits where appropriate.
  • Assist in the assessment and evaluation of construction contractors.
  • Development of the execution phase health and safety management plan.
  • Assist in review of safety in design reviews.
  • Preparation of health and safety related Feasibility Study documentation.
  • Incident reporting within the client’s Cintellate system.
  • Occasional travel to regional WA
  
Essential to be successful in this role;
  • Valid WA Drives License
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
  • Prior construction industry experience in Western Australia (trade, engineering or related experience) with experience in projects in the Pilbara region.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Western Australian Workplace Health and Safety Act.
  • Understanding of WorkSafe WA guidelines and codes of practice
  • Knowledge of established standard practices and industry norms for risk management, safe work method statements, health and safety documentation and safety in design practices.
  • Approximately 10 years experience in work place health and safety.
