About the client:

Our client is looking for 1x Level 6 Management Accountant to join their team ASAP. Our client is a major State Government located on 140 William Street near public transport. 

Benefits:
  • ASAP Start Date (pending Police Check) - Notice periods are acceptable. 
  • Full Time Hours – Monday to Friday - Casual position in the sense that there are no leave entitlements
  • Temporary assignment until end of May with likely extension while the client runs a fixed term/permanent processes which you would be able to apply too. 
  • Perth CBD location, WA
  • $70.00-76.00 per hour + super - This includes casual loading 
About the role:
  • Prepares budgets, forecasts, and forward estimates for projects and cost centres. Analyses and monitors the monthly management reports for internal stakeholders. Develops, implements, monitors and delivers continuous improvement of management accounting policies, practices and systems to ensure effective financial planning, management and reporting across the organisation.
About you

Role specific
  1. Significant experience in financial and management accounting and reporting, and managing budget preparation, monitoring and reporting.
Desirable criteria
  1. Knowledge of the WA State Budget and Estimates Committee process.
  2. Knowledge of Commonwealth and Industry funding arrangements impacting upon the WA State Budget.
Special requirements/equipment
  • An acceptable National Police Certificate (police clearance) is required. If not currently held, must be acquired prior to commencement at applicant’s expense.
  • Occasional travel to and from metropolitan and regional offices may be required
  • Possession of a tertiary qualification in Accounting or related discipline.
  • Eligible for membership of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia or the National Institute of Public Accountants.
