Job description

Our client within State Government is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their busy team on a temporary contract for 3 months with a possible extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Applying legislative knowledge and legal experience to conduct risk assessments
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of file information in order to determine the sufficiency of evidence to support cases
  • Managing case files to ensure prioritisation
  • Preparing reports, correspondence and submissions required for various stakeholders
  • Reviewing file information, identifying and requesting further information where required
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Manage conflicting deadlines utilising highly developed prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to research and analyse for problem solving
  • The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience within child protection and/or administration would be advantageous
  • Completed Bachelor of Laws (or another relevant field)
