Senior Systems Engineer
 
12 Months Contract with possible extension
Canberra - onsite role
Must hold an active NV2 security
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our federal Government Client team. 
 
Role responsibilities
  • Configure and support hybrid Exchange environments, ensuring smooth integration between on-premises and cloud-based services.
  • Troubleshoot Exchange-related issues, identify root causes, and implement effective, long-term solutions.
  • Leverage PowerShell scripting to automate administrative tasks, manage user accounts, and streamline operations.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to generate reports and support ongoing system performance and reliability.
Skills
  • Supporting, patching and upgrading Exchange servers.
  • Delivering expert support and advice for Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments.
  • Automating tasks and streamlining implementations using PowerShell scripting.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to integrate Microsoft 365 with existing infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience in a MS Exchange role.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management principles, including incident, problem, change, and request management.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues to maintain optimal system performance.
Technical skills
  • Microsoft Certified: Exchange Online Administrator Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
  • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
