Job Title: Project Governance and Controls Analyst
Employer: State Government client through DFP Recruitment
Position Type: Casual Contract working full time hours
Pay Rate: $60-$65 per hour dependant on experience + super, this includes causal loading in lieu of leave entitlements.
Duration: 3-month contract, starting from May 13th, 2024 to August 12th, 2024, with a possibility of a 3-month extension
Location: Midland, WA
Role Overview: As a Project Governance and Controls Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects managed by our Program Management Office (PMO) team adhere to appropriate governance and control standards. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining our PMO Hub toolset.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective and consistent project governance and assurance processes/guidelines, ensuring project budgets, schedules, risks, and deliverables are monitored and reported on in accordance with the client's project governance framework.
  • Embed consistent project governance and assurance processes across portfolio investment and the ICT roadmap.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders in preparing governance documents for all projects.
  • Assist in supporting project management, including leading and coordinating project status reporting, PMO dashboards, Statements of Work, budgets, and schedules related to ICT services and projects.
  • Collate and analyse data to monitor, track, and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost, and quality metrics are in line with the approved plan.
  • Facilitate the identification of risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with projects, providing a range of potential outcome scenarios and advising on mitigating those risks and/or capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Lead the development, implementation, delivery, and support of project governance, reporting, insights, and analytics frameworks to ensure the achievement of outcomes in the client’s Strategic Planning.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Essential to be successful in this role
  • Extensive knowledge of ICT project management and governance principles.
  • Experience in ICT project data analysis and reporting including scheduling, risk and financial.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining ICT project data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain and justify decisions and recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • PRINCE2 trained (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation Project Management Certification).
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous analysis activities and priorities.
