Job description

Project Officer
  • State Government opportunity in Parramatta
  • Initial 2 month contract
  • Hybrid Working - 1-2 days per week in Office
  • $51.00 per hour + super
Out State Government Client is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Project Officer who is passionate about making a difference to join their Parramatta-based project team.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Provide administrative and related project support tasks
  • Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans
  • Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to ensure the delivery of projects complies with agreed project management methodology
  • Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning
  • Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues
  • Assist with project financials
  • Records management
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders
The successful candidate will:
  • Have previous experience in a project officer or project support role
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders
  • Be competent in utilising various computer applications
